Guest Check-Out Instructions

Dear Guest,

Thank you VERY MUCH for choosing one of our properties for your extended stay here in St. Joseph!  I work very hard to maintain comfortable, clean properties filled with everything you might need for your stay… plus some “extra” amenities.  In order to keep our nightly lodging rates as low as possible (considerably lower than local hotels), we ask that you help us minimize our turn-over and cleaning costs between guests.  We keep our “turn-over” fees very low (compared to other short-term rentals on AirBNB, VRBO, HomeAway, etc) because we simply ask that our guests leave the property in the same condition as when they checked in (with the exception of laundering the bedding, towels, linens, etc.).  Plus, leaving the property in the same condition as you found it will avoid you getting charged any extra cleaning fees.

Here’s what we ask you do to prior to your 11:00am check-out…

  • Don’t forget to hang both sets of keys (with the alarm Key FOB) on the hook next to the front door (one-bedroom properties will only have one set of keys).
  • Please remember to take all of your personal belongings including cell phone chargers, medications, clothes, etc. with you.  You’d be shocked to see how much “stuff” people accidentally leave behind!
  • Gather up all of the trash and leave it by the refrigerator in the kitchen.
  • Regarding the laundry… we’ll take care of that.  Just pile all of the towels, washclothes, dish towels, etc. on the floor in front of the washer/dryer.  If you want to strip the beds, that’s fine… just pile the bedding on the bed.
  • If the unit has a dishwasher, please load it and start it upon leaving (don’t forget the coffee pot, microwave glass plate, etc).
  • Please look around and leave everything in the clean condition as you found it… this will help us tremendously as we oftentimes have guests checking in the very same day you’ve checked out.
